I decided to post a tutorial on how I do my vintage inspired festive nails because many people asked me about that on my Instagram profile! Please note that I’m not a professional nail artist and these are only my personal tips 😉
I am quite a practical person so I don’t usually keep my nail long, and I never have them done by a professional nail artist. I always paint my nails though, and during the years I have found some simple, quick and easy ways to apply nail polish – just to have fun with it: hope you will have fun too!
What you will need:
- a base coat: I use one from Pupa that hydrates and also reinforces
- a gold glitter nail polish: I like this one from Kiko
- a bright red nail polish: here I use one from Bottega Verde
- a top coat: it speeds up the dry time and finishes the manicure.
apply the base coat: this is really important as it prevents staining on your nails and makes the manicure lasts longer.
apply the gold nail polish on the whole nail: I chose this one because it is very shiny and glittery, the best for the festivity! I always apply two layers of it but it depends on the color you choose.
as a last step I always apply a top coat to finish, protect the nails and give them a brilliant lacquered effect!
And here is the final result! I hope it’s a pretty simple tutorial to follow and recreate! Feel free to tag me on Instagram to show me how you do it!
I have also compiled a playlist with some of my favourite vintage Christmas songs that you can follow and play during the holidays 🙂 click here!
